Peony EDT / Verveine EDT

Both Peony EDT / Verveine EDT received in good condition, but was wondering if the box was supposed to be plastic wrapped as per new bottle?
Peony EDT smell sourish, cap slightly dented ... which i wonder....
Verveine EDT has sendiments in it? Are they even new? or old stock?
